After last week, which I'm convinced was at least 46 days long, I'm delighted to say that this week has started with a buzzzzz!
You are probably already aware that I've been a freelance writer for business for many years. It's rewarding work, pays the bills and, most importantly, enables me to spend time also writing happy poems for wonderful peeps like you!
However, there's more to it than just that. For I'm very fortunate that my freelance work doesn't restrict me to just boring blogs or brochures.
Businesses come to me because I define myself more as a wordsmith rather than as a copywriter… which makes for interesting commissions sometimes. One of the more obscure being a series of beer mats for a pub!
Anyway, I am also approached from time to time to write bits of verse too. And… drum roll please…
… I've just been commissioned to write 20 poems for a company! 🥳🤩🥳
It's always such a great challenge to write poems for business... I really enjoy it. It puts me in my element 'cos I spend all day trying to find quirky angles to what can often be a bit mundane. 🤣
So, I just wanted to share that fabulous bit of news with you. And say, please do share your good news on my Facebook posts too! It's great to celebrate successes, and I'd love the opportunity to give you a high five!
