Ideas for Frames... to make life easy :-)

Ideas for Frames... to make life easy :-)

Hi!

How are you doing?

With the dreaded ‘C’ word looming, I thought it might make life easy for you if I gave you some ideas re frames for my prints.

With the right frame, it becomes really easy to give friends and family a truly unique pressie… and it won’t break the bank (easily under £15-£20 for the print and frame combined! 🥳).

The Key is to Get the Right Mount Size

I’ve purposely chosen print sizes that are well catered for in IKEA and on Amazon. Though there are a myriad of other places you can get frames.

This is what you need to look out for.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm sorry I don’t sell my prints with frames. It's just I can’t do it cost effectively for you! So, all my suggestions below are simply ideas. And please know that I DO NOT get a commission from any of the sellers.)

Frames For My Small 13x13cm Prints

Look out for a frame that has a mount display area of a minimum 12x12cm (5” x 5” is fine if the measurements are in inches). This enables the print to sit behind the mount and have an appropriate border on display.

Here are some IKEA examples - though there are loads on Amazon too.

Each example below has a mount size of 13cm (5.12”) with a mount opening of 12x12cm (4.72” so 5" is fine). You can click the images to link to the page on IKEA to get more details. The information they provide is useful if you’re searching on Amazon too!

IKEA Sannahed – 25cm Frame – £6 – Comes in Black or White

FYI, Sannahed also do a 50x50cm frame with a 30x30cm mount that’s perfect for the my largest print size and it’s only £19!

For My Larger 20x20cm Prints

Look out for a frame that has a mount display area of a minimum 19x19cm (7.5” is fine if the measurements are in inches). This enables the print to sit behind the mount and have an appropriate border on display.

Here is an IKEA example - though there are loads on Amazon too.

The example below has a mount size of 20x20cm (7.87”) with a mount opening of 19x19cm (7.5”). You can click the image to link to the page on IKEA to get more details. The information they provide is useful if you’re searching on Amazon too!

Lomkiven - 32cm Frame – £13 – Comes in Black, White, & Aluminium

Cheers
