Now that my book YOU Are One of a Kind is out there in the world, I had to share one of the poems that means so much to me—Cheers to Tears.

This poem acts regularly as a gentle reminder to myself (😉) that my most valuable qualities are the ones hidden beneath the surface.

I confess, there are times when my head gets stuck in a loop, worrying about what I need to wear or do to make myself look a bit more impressive to the world. But as I’ve got older, I’ve realised the real treasures I value in others are the ones I don’t so much see as feel —like the kindness and empathy they generously share with me. 

Those tear drops of compassion… They really are the gems that truly make those people shine, eh?
