23rd May, 2014 Great fun on the radio with Rob Adcock - as always! Thank you BBC Radio Northampton for having me on again :-) Click the player below to catch it again... GK’s Peek at Drivetime's Week – 23/05/14 This week the news has been About as varied as the weather From complaints re: noise, to hay fever We’ve had a lot to blether Plus Rob has had his critics Of some fancy dress he chose So later you will get to hear ‘Bout other clothing woes Still, a roundabout is blamed For the chaos with the busses And Tayto’s keen to make more crisps (That’s one of this week’s plusses!) But like our weather, news is mixed Upon the sporting front Our cricket team have lost, but Saints Are surely worth a punt And sticking with the great outdoors Yes, sculptor Nick’s aglow For the weather’s not held back his plans For Chelsea’s flower show Another thing to celebrate Is trading’s back in gear For Northants saw several thousand Brand new businesses last year And land fill tax is working (Though folk cursed it as expense) For the cost of our recycling Now makes financial sense And further out around the world Ben’s fight ‘gainst waste is backed The French have ordered trains too wide And Ebay has been hacked The housing boom is racing Someone needs to tug the reins And at last the question’s asked Can mobiles damage children’s brains? The Royal Mail accused TNT of cherry picking A sausage pipe will soon bring heat And Suarez has stopped kicking!! On Thursday it was polling day The country set to voting One wonders by the end of it If UKIP will be gloating And through the week the weather’s had Its moments, as rain poured And thunder rolled with lightening Causing havoc and discord But I think my final verse Must remind folk it’s the sun That’s most dangerous, ‘cos Rob’s been known To leave his shirt undone…
