22nd August, 2014 It's been a while since I was last on... A certain radio presenter's been on holiday! But thank you, Rob Adcock, once again for having me on your Drivetime show. Loved it as always! Rob’s had ANOTHER holiday And came back somewhat… fatter But more of ‘how come’ later What news did this week hold? Well, the lift tower’s been abseiled By an eighty nine year old Sywell Airshow was sold out But some folk were left chagrined For the Lancasters were grounded On account of excess wind Which prompts a swift, wee mention Of this cold autumnal bout For we’re feeling somewhat chilly Thinking, ‘Time for thermals out…’???! And that’s not all that’s changing For train fares are increasing As is stress related illness For those working in policing Shoemake’s earned a testimonial ‘Cos he saved… well… quite a lotta goals And Northants now has money To fix a few more pottaholes We hope that’s not a joke For Tim Vines’ was voted best And a man who drank live fish Still walked free once he’d confessed Which brings us round to Rob’s Latest culinary wheeze A six inch deep baguette Mostly filled with meat and cheese This explains why at a wedding He found his suit had shrunk And he kept his clothing on For his icy challenge dunk Still… moving swiftly on As we’re running out of time Banks are closing branches But we’ve plans for cybercrime Cobblers lost to Portsmouth And we’re waving ‘bye’ Sky Blues Exam results are out Yay! It isn’t all bad news!! But is Corby eating Weldon? Some would say a worthwhile question Whilst others see Greyfriars And still get indigestion So those seeking inspiration Find Rhianna, she’s your girl For the oyster of adversity Has made her quite some pearl And her uplifting story Is a goodly place to end For else Rob will talk of holidays And drive us round the bend!
